Harships of a family in poverty

Help for Sammy
Sammy's case is one that typifies the work that St Kyrel Trust does for the poor students of Egypt. In his gratitude for our work in his life, he wrote to us…
It was a total shock for me and my family when my dad died. It was unexpected and there were was no reason for us to prepare ourselves for such an event in our lives. My mother, my younger brother Kyrillos, and I were completely dependent on him.
At the time I was in second year of high school. I knew our income would be seriously affected because dad had died young and the pension we were supposed to receive would not cover our various expenses. For example, I needed private tuition, books, and transportation. And my young brother also needed a similar kind of help to continue his studies. It was a real problem, but I was not discouraged. I had a strong feeling that God would never neglect me. And that He, as He never failed to do in the past, would support me in the harsh times that were to come.
Soon after this tragic event, I went to church and met with Abouna, our priest, and discussed all of our problems. We prayed together and I left the meeting with peace in my heart. Just one week later, God answered our prayers.
A representative from St Kyrel Trust invited me to meet with him!
Through the help of St Kyrel Trust, I was able to finish my high school and I am now in second year of Veterinary College in Cairo University in the Beni Suef branch. Because of the continuing monthly support I can share a room with one of my friends and we can buy books.
Thank you to Jesus. And thank you to St Kyrel Trust.
