A dream come true

Molook's dream
We recently received a letter from one of the students we help in upper Egypt, where poverty is much more prevalent. Her name is Molook. Although just a teenager, she was equipped with a clear and vivid dream.
In her own words, she describes how St Kyrel Trust helped this dream become a reality…
As a family, we live in a village, in a house of only two rooms. I am one of five children, along with my 2 sisters and 2 brothers. My father works as doorkeeper for St Antonios Coptic Orthodox church. The low wages he receives barely covers a living that keeps us above the breadline. And we don’t have any other source of income. As a villager, I could only dream about university education and to break free from our circumstances of poverty. Having lived each day of my life praying for daily bread, the absolute necessaries of life, going to study at university seemed like an impossible feat.
At church, a sister asked me which colleague I will join when I finish secondary school. I really had no answer, so I kept silent. After the meeting, she talked to me alone, and asked me again. I had to explain my situation for her. She understood, but she encouraged me to not give up. We prayed together, having faith that God will provide. I went home and kept on praying that this dream of mine may become a reality.
After a few days, the sister came to visit us, she spook with me and my father about the grace of God and she added that I was nominated to receive a grant from St Kyrel Trust, which would allow me to attend university. What was once a dream became a reality. Soon after, the realisation hit me: I can now dream of obtaining a university degree, to be able to find a high skill job ,and to earn money to help the rest of my family.
How great is the love of God?
And now, I’m studying Social Sciences. With the monthly grant that I receive from St Kyrel Trust, I can commute to university, live independently, and above all I will be able to finish my studies and find a job. I will never forget this favour. Thank you to my Father and His faithful and generous servants and donors at St Kyrel Trust.
