Earlier this year St Kyrel Trust lost Mr Wagdi Sameeh, our faithful servant in the area of Old Cairo and El-Tahona. Wagdi looked earnestly after 80 of the poorest university students in Cairo. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and we gratefully note the transfer of Wagdi’s service to his widow, who has been supporting him in this service for many years.
The Anointed Servant 2011: This concert took place on May 1st 2010 at Saint Mary Abbots, Kensington. This was the first Coptic concert of its kind in the UK, much effort and funds were spent to ensure that our sacred music was presented amicably. Thank God, both the music and the organisation of the event were a source of pride not only for Saint Kyrel Trust but also to its supporters. The concert was recorded live and is now available on CD and DVD, which you can order from www.anointedservant.org, commencing August 1st 2011. The Anointed Servant concert will be presented again after Easter 2012, and an announcement for tickets will be made shortly.
The servants’ conference 2011: Following last year’ success, we are organising the 2nd servants’ conference, which will take place in Cairo on Friday 26th August 2011. We hope that all of our servants across the country will attend. The agenda of the meeting will include topic on:
- Identify the added difficulties and possible opportunities for students post revolution times.

We are in the process of organising our annual fund raising event which will take place in March 2012. As customary, the event will include a presentation to update our guests on our activities and other fun items. More information will follow soon.
